We’re Louise and Anna and the extra “p” in Equipp is for our philosophy: finding great gifts that make teens happy shouldn’t be so hard. We don’t over-complicate things; we make simple but stylish gifts that your teenagers will love. And we should know – we have five between us.

Growing up is always tough. Doing so in such an uncertain world and in the glare of social media makes it extra challenging. Being so impressionable, the younger generation are also often the target of much so-called “motivational” media marketing: Do better! Look better! Be better!

Our collections are designed to subtly tell teenagers that they’re pretty great as they are. We also believe in letting them know they can dream big, and that they can strive to be the best version of themselves.

Everything we produce has been developed in close consultation with the people who matter – the young adults who will be using them. We love working with young people, and take every opportunity to do so.

Our Story

When a special occasion was coming up and we asked our teenagers what they would like as a present, more often than not, the answer would be “money”. But lots of the time, cash isn’t an appropriate present, and friends or relatives like to give them actual gifts for the big day.

So we created a brand devoted to teenagers in all their hormonal glory. It’s just right for Gen Z, since it’s inspired by the idea of self-belief and confidence, without being cheesy. Equipp makes gifts, but our products are more than that – they encourage a simple but effective philosophy that if you are yourself, you’ll be ready to soar.

We truly believe in the next generation, and understand that being a teenager can be hard. During a time of major changes, undefined status, and increased pressure and decision making, we believe in doing anything we can to support adolescent’s development, growth, and search of self.

We struggled to find anything we would be proud to give. We wanted quality products that were stylish and sophisticated to be special, yet practical enough to last.

We are passionate about…

  • Working with top quality, independent British companies who love creating as much as we do
  • Carefully sourcing our clothing to be ethical, sustainable and certified vegan
  • The Naked Cards pledge – we don’t send out our greetings cards in cellophane bags, but in protective paper bags instead, to “help cut down on plastic one card at a time”
  • Using packaging materials that are recycled and as eco-friendly as possible

Our chosen charity

We feel strongly about the need to support teenage mental health and donate a percentage from every sale to an amazing local charity. Hector Stringer took his own life at the age of 18 and his family set up Hector’s House in his memory as a signposting charity. Hector’s House promotes open discussions around mental health issues to end stigma and prevent suicide by visiting schools, events and festivals to talk about mental health and promote healthy living. Find out more about why we chose Hector’s House to support on our blog.
