Hello 2022!

We made it through 2021! It was a very difficult year for both of us personally but having Equipp to focus on has been more rewarding than ever and the business has gone from strength to strength. So, we’re here raising a virtual glass to everyone who, like us, is looking forward to a fresh start and a fresh new year. So, hello 2022! We are bursting with enthusiasm and have so many ideas to develop. These are just some of the projects that we have planned – so exciting!

Working with teens

We love working with teenagers and young adults and from the beginning have taken every opportunity to do just that. Our very first products featured work by an extremely talented young illustrator. Since then, teens have modelled for us, written blog posts, done some brilliant social media takeovers, entered our creative challenges and helped us with new product development. We plan on doing all this and more in 2022…

So if you’re in year 12 and starting to think about your personal statement, do get in touch. We can help provide you with the opportunity to do something that will look very impressive! Supporting young entrepreneurs

One of the absolute highlights of our job is discovering businesses started by teens and young adults. We love placing orders with them to sell their gorgeous creations on our site – we’re often their first trade order, which is just wonderful! We also take every opportunity to recommend them and to shout them out on social media. We’ve got exciting plans about mentoring young entrepreneurs in the pipeline and we can’t wait to see what amazing new businesses we can help get established in 2022! Celebrating teens everywhere

We think teenagers rock. And we love to share good news, achievements, and initiatives. We’re thinking hard about how we can do this better in 2022 – watch this space!

Helping parents of teens

As we often say, we’re no experts, but having raised five teens between us, we have a very good idea of what parenting teens is all about. We know how much we’d have been helped by more advice and information, and by reading other parents’ experiences too. We’re working on both of those to help parents of teens everywhere:

• We’ve started to invite a guest expert onto an Instagram Live once a month, which is written up for our blog afterwards. We’ve already held sessions on Teenage Anxiety – when to seek help and Revision Tips for GCSEs and A levels. We’ve also run Lives hosted by teens and young adults themselves, to give a real insight into their experiences. Look out for more of both in 2022 – our Live this month will be on how to help teens learn about and manage finances.
• Our Parenting Teens Q&A series is proving hugely popular (find them in the Parenting Teens section of our blog). We’ve got more coming up that are excellent – funny, inspiring, feel-good. If you’d like to share your story with us, please do let us know. We’d love to hear from you!

Designing new gifts for teens

Last but absolutely not least is what we do best – our collections of products and gifts for teens that will make them feel wonderful. Whether it’s a T-shirt, mirror sticker or cushion that reminds them how completely brilliant they are, a thought-provoking journal, or a gift set that makes them feel loved and very special, our 2022 range is going to be bigger and better than ever.
